Have I not been loyal?

All my life in the pursuit of that which you occupy, for the fruit that you bear — would you give it to me?
That is what it feels like to have a Muse, to sacrifice your heart.
An artist knows. Deep inside their heart, when someone elicits this feeling, in the subtle stirrings of this vibrational Universe. It’s like the old story about the guitarist who sells his soul to the Devil, but I’ve gifted my soul to an Angel. Because at its fundamental and most basic level, beauty is subtle.
Art is subtle. That is where its command lies… in peace and stillness.
Eve, have I not been loyal?
How many thousands of lives do I have to die and reborn to know?
Do I find You in every one?

And in every one have you been suffering?
In this life it will have been worth it, I swear.
All the years in the desert and darkness and quiet Only to emerge like a cactus blooming in the desert Strong and perennial, birds chirping on your spikes.
I don’t know if the apple was worth the bite,
The lessons learned were though.

“In ancient Greek myths, ambrosia (derived from the Greek word for “immortality”) is the food or drink of the Olympian gods. It was frequently described as conferring longevity or immortality upon any mortal who consumed it, often paired with nectar, which was the drink of the gods.”
